The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 2 doesn’t flinch—and neither should you.

This is the episode. The one where Joel meets the business end of a golf club, courtesy of Abby. It’s raw, violent, and emotionally nuclear. And while some fans may still be in denial, the show doesn’t waste time pulling punches. It doubles down on consequence, pain, and the cost of survival.
Pedro Pascal gives a haunting final performance as Joel, and the way the show builds tension leading up to the scene is masterful. It’s not just about the brutality—it’s about the silence, the shock, and the emotional whiplash that follows. Abby’s introduction is vicious and divisive, exactly as it should be.

Is it controversial? Absolutely. But that’s the point. This episode isn’t fan service—it’s story-first, and it hits harder because of it.
Love it or hate it, you felt something. And that’s good TV.
NoFallDamage.net gives it a full 5 out of 5—because sometimes great storytelling hurts.
