It has been revealed that the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 has already hit half a billion views across all platforms. This data comes directly from Rockstar Games, which recently announced a lengthy delay for the long-awaited, open-world epic.

This unprecedented response comes after fans waited a year and a half for more information on GTA 6, widely touted as the most highly anticipated game of all time. We now know that GTA 6 will be released on May 26, 2026.
That’s a Lot of Moolah
It was a long time coming, but GTA 6 Trailer 2 is here and already shattering viewership records.
In an exclusive rundown published by The Hollywood Reporter, it was stated that – at the time of publishing – the GTA 6 trailer had secured 475 million views across all platforms.
This data reportedly comes from Rockstar Games, which is about as reliable a source as you could hope for.
The publication pointed out that in the same time frame in 2023, the first GTA 6 trailer secured 93 million views – but it was admittedly a YouTube-exclusive drop. Back then, that was enough to decimate a few records, and it took the world by storm. The hype was at an all-time high going into Trailer 2, though.
Rockstar has gone on to claim that it’s the single-biggest video launch of all time, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down in terms of traffic. Like the first video (which now sits on 255 million views on YouTube), the popularity of the thing will hang around for quite some time.
How many times have you watched the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6?
