Squid Game is the latest high-profile crossover to hit the Call of Duty world. From January 3, players can participate in a special, limited-time event featuring the games, characters, and themes found in Squid Game (and Squid Game 2), the smash-hit television series from Netflix.

How to Play Red Light, Green Light in Black Ops 6

One of the most exciting elements of the new Squid Game crossover event in Black Ops 6 is the ability to play Red Light, Green Light. This is the first ‘game’ that viewers were exposed to when Squid Game aired in 2021, and it returned for the second season of the show that debuted at the end of 2024.

In Black Ops 6, players can descend upon the Red Card Stadium and enjoy three rounds of Red Light, Green Light, each lasting two minutes. With a Call of Duty-themed twist being applied, players can actively eliminate other competitors as the game unravels.

It’s available as a multiplayer mode that any Black Ops 6 player can access.

Additionally, players can jump into ‘Pentathlon’, diving into a marathon of multiplayer modes that accommodates the racking up of prizes in the ‘Mega Piggy Bank’. This rotation includes two new modes: Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch and Roulette, which is a One in the Chamber-styled series.

Is Squid Game Free in Black Ops 6?

The Squid Game x Black Ops 6 crossover is free to access, but users can follow a ‘premium path’ after they’ve spent 1100 COD Points (around $10) to access the premium track. The ultimate reward at the end of the premium track is the ‘Front Man’ Operator.

How to Unlock Front Man in Call of Duty

To get Front Man as a playable Operator, you’ll need to power your way through the entire Squid Game 2 event in Black Ops 6, completing the ‘premium track’ of the event pass and unlocking the Operator.

Per the spiel from Activision:

Become the leader of the Pink Guards with the “Front Man” Operator. Deploy as the ruthless administrator of the Squid Game and take your team to victory.

If you stick with the free event pass, you’ll unlock the Cleaver melee weapon, but the premium pass has many more rewards, including:

What Else is Included in the Squid Game x Black Ops 6 Crossover?

Activision’s teams have piled in hard to make the Squid Game x Black Ops 6 crossover as valuable as possible.

To that end, there’s ‘Dead Light, Green Light’, which is a Zombies-themed alternative to the core multiplayer mode. There’s a new circulation called ‘Squid Game Moshpit’, and a series of challenges have been set up in Warzone to accommodate battle royale fans.
