Images of the new Xbox and ASUS handheld under the codename ‘Project Kennan’ have leaked online ahead of the official announcement.

First spotted by videocardz.com, the images were obtained via official United States FCC certifications. Images of two different models were found, which are believed to the the ASUS ROG Ally 2 and Xbox’s new handheld device in partnership with ASUS.
At first glance, both devices looks fairly identical, but eagle-eyed viewers have noticed that the black version features an ‘X’ on the top left button, suggesting that it could be our mysterious ‘Project Kennan’.

A recent report from Windows Central seemed to make it clear that the system won’t play Xbox games as it will be a “tried-and-true Windows PC in essence”. Instead, it willact like the current ROG Ally while featuring an Xbox Guide button and “more prominent grips”.
It seems that after looking at the images and the comparison between both handheld devices, that this seems to be true.
As for when the console is going to release is unclear, but with images of both the ASUS ROG Ally 2 and the Xbox handheld now surfacing thanks to FCC certifications, it’ll likely be later this year.
Are you looking forward to the Xbox and ASUS handheld?
