Samara Weaving Escapes a Silent Cult in Trailer for Horror ‘Azrael’

In Azrael, a devout community in which no one speaks hunts down a woman named Azrael (Samara Weaving), one of its escaped devotees.

A new trailer is out for Azrael, a forthcoming horror film that premiered at South by Southwest earlier this year. Directed by E.L. Katz with a script penned by Simon Barrett, the movie will premiere in theaters on September 27.

The trailer previews a montage of Azrael’s attempt at leaving the silent cult. Upon her capture, however, she faces being sacrificed to the evil creatures that inhabit the wilderness surrounding the community – unless she’s able to escape both the cult and the creatures hunting her down.

Rounding out the cast are Vic Carmen Sonne, Katariina Unt and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.
