Sonic and Friends Are Coming to 'Magic: The Gathering'

As the Magic: The Gathering universe continues to expand, its Secret Lair series, which offers exclusive, limited-time versions of cards, has teamed up with Sonic and his friends.

21 new cards have been created for the collection, including seven new-to-Magic cards featured in the Friends & Foes set that is pictured first. Characters include fan favorites like Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Dr. Eggman, and, of course, Sonic. From there, the Turbo Gear range pairs iconic equipment with Magic mechanics while the seven Chasing Adventure cards also feature Team Sonic. All three rosters will be available in non-foil and rainbow foil variants.

For those looking to shop the Sonic Superdrop from Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair, it is set to release via the program’s website on July 14. Pricing is set at $30 USD for non-foil and $40 USD for rainbow foil versions for the Turbo Gear and Chasing Adventure collections. As for the Friends & Foes lineup, it is priced at $40 USD for the non-foil and $50 USD for the rainbow foils. A wider release of the Friends & Foes set will take place at WPN stores on August 21 in the non-foil edition.
