‘SPY x FAMILY’ Season 3 Teases Agent Twilight’s Backstory

Over a year after SPY x FAMILY was confirmed for a third season, TOHO Animation has finally revealed the first official trailer for the upcoming installment. Scheduled to premiere this fall, the upcoming season picks up directly from the events of Season 2 and delves deeper into the “WISE Arc,” with hints at Agent Twilight’s mysterious backstory. The trailer showcases familiar faces – Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond – alongside supporting characters from Eden Academy and WISE, all framed by a mix of comedic antics and high-stakes espionage.

Produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, Season 3 introduces Yukiko Imai as the new lead director, bringing fresh creative energy to the series while maintaining its signature blend of action, humor and heart. Visually, the trailer balances dynamic animation with quiet emotional beats, suggesting a season that will explore both character development and plot progression.
