Pokémon aficionados can now elevate their connection to their favorite creatures with the new Poke-Nade Monster Ball from Takara Tomy.

The Tamagotchi-style virtual pet is shaped like a classic Pokeball, distinguishing itself with physical touch sensors built into its surface. This allows players to genuinely pet, feed, and play with their chosen Pokémon, with the attention building a stronger bond that’s displayed on a built-in LCD screen.

The device features 157 species in total, including seven fully voiced “Partner Pokémon” such as Pikachu, Eevee, and Lucario. Unlike classic virtual pets, the Pokémon here won’t die; they simply become sad or distant if neglected, encouraging consistent, gentle care. Running on four AAA batteries, the Pokeball also supports mini-games and a friendship diary.

Although no global release is confirmed, international fans can import the device now for approximately $90 USD to $100 USD.
