Travis Scott, one of the largest names in hip hop today, was supposed to be in WWE 2K25. From the looks of it, however, that no longer appears to be the case.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Scott and the WWE had a “falling out” in recent months. This led to his removal as a surprise celebrity DLC character for WWE 2K25.

Instead of Scott, El Grande Americano was recently as a downloadable addition to the game’s roster this September.

“El Grande Americano will replace the New Wave Pack’s celebrity guest,” 2K announced earlier in July. “With unique entrance video/music + moveset, he will be automatically entitled to players who own the New Wave Pack, Season Pass, Ringside Pass, Deadman Edition + Bloodline Edition in September.”

In addition to El Grande Americano, it was said by the Observer that Aleister Black’s return to WWE 2K25 as part of the recently released WrestleMania 41 pack was a replacement for Scott in that pack, as well.

Looking at WWE 2K25 as a whole, the game remains popular as it was the 20th-best-selling game in the United States in June 2025, nearly four months after launch. It also finds itself as the 7th-best-selling game of the year as of July 5.

Recently, the series made its return to Nintendo platforms with the launch of WWE 2K25 on Nintendo Switch 2. That said, it did launch with one key feature missing for players.

What do you think of Travis Scott being replaced in WWE 2K25 with El Grande Americano and Aleister Black?
